The Life Sciences & Health economic mission to Brazil took place with Bas van den Dungen, director general of Curative Care, Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, and Peter Post, director of TFHC. The mission started on May 15 and continues until May 20, 2017.

From October 2nd till the 6th, the economic mission to Canada took place, led by water envoy Henk Ovink. TRANSFER, like during the 2015 royal mission to Canada, was once again tasked with providing matchmaking for the participating Dutch companies.

In particular, during this mission, the theme of Resilient Cities – urban developments in the areas of water supply, urban planning, and infrastructure – took center stage.

Canada, with its highly developed retail market, is the third most important market in America after the United States and Brazil, and one of the largest in the world. Its market, in constant evolution, has to adapt to new trends. Canada is an extremely competitive market, where the key to succeed for local and foreign companies is the innovation and the dexterity to forecast and to adapt to new trends among the customers.

A virtual trade mission took place from March 29 until April 1, 2021, with a focus on creating opportunities for businesses to grow and contribute to a sustainable and inclusive economic recovery. The trade mission was a virtual one, since it occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Government of Canada is working hard to ensure an inclusive and sustainable global economic recovery. It is doing so by helping Canadian business owners and entrepreneurs to start up, scale up, and access new markets.

French Biotech scene has been growing up to the point to reach countries such as the United States and United Kingdom. France nowadays is one of the Europe’s most established hubs for biotech research. The close collaboration between renown foundations, companies, and public institutions such as Institute Curie, CNRS, AB science, and others with the French government have placed France as leader of the biotech industry in Europe. 

King Willem-Alexander has experienced two special weeks in Australia and New Zealand. He said that Wednesday in New Zealand’s Auckland, at the conclusion of his two “very successful state visits” to “almost literally the other side of the world,” during which he was accompanied by Foreign Minister Koenders. The same goes for the Dutch trade delegation traveling with him, led by Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Minister Lilianne Ploumen and Economic Affairs Minister Henk Kamp.
