Hydrogen to Germany Trade Mission

The trade mission included:

  • Access to the two-day Beyondgas conference
  • Tailored one-to-one conversations with potential business partners, set up by TRANSFER.LC
  • A Holland Stand for Dutch participants and an opening night with Dutch speakers
  • A networking event at the Holland Stand
  • Pitch moments for Dutch participants

The companies from the hydrogen world got the chance to explore the northern German market and position themselves as leaders in the hydrogen industry.

We need to rethink the theme of energy. What else is there besides natural gas as an energy source and as a basic raw material for the production of countless products? How and when can the cessation of gas production succeed?

Many experts see hydrogen as THE energy carrier of the future. To meet this hydrogen demand, reliable partners are needed for production, storage and transport. The gas infrastructure will also have to change for this. According to the Dutch Ministry of Climate and Energy The Netherlands has all the conditions to make hydrogen a success model.

85 percent of the current natural gas network could be converted to transport hydrogen without digging. The Beyondgas Congress 2022 will focus on solutions and projects along the entire value chain, from hydrogen production to infrastructure and hydrogen trading.

The conference concept offers plenty of scope for professional and personal exchange. In addition to first-class keynotes, the participants will learn a lot of practical

This is what was said about TRANSFER.LCs’ services during the trade mission. Quotes from:

“Although the Beyondgas hydrogen conference in Oldenburg was postponed twice, it was ultimately a great success for us as Partnerland. We owe this for some part from Gerald Baal and his team who put in fantastic efforts. Thanks to TRANSFER, we were able to visit the congress – despite the initially limited interest from the Netherlands – with a high-quality and special group of participants. The highlight of the event, however, was the fantastic matchmaking with German counterparts that TRANSFER managed to put together within an extremely short time frame and ultimately with twice the number of appointments. Many thanks for your unbridled efforts, we look forward to the next project!” – Patricia van der Werf, Chief NBSO Hamburg.

“Many thanks, Gerald, and compliments on what you and your team managed to achieve in a short time! Good club, TRANSFER. Excellent partner for the organisation of trade missions, matchmaking, etc.” – Andre Holtvluwer, Consulaat-Generaal Düsseldorf.

“TRANSFER managed to set up a number of interesting meetings for me in Germany. They also had other useful tips. It’s a pleasure to work with them.” – Bert den Ouden, Project Director, HyXchange project (former Gasunie)

“It was a nice and very useful visit to Germany. I am very happy with the many appointments made by TRANSFER and the organisation thereof. Thank you very much for this and see you next time!” – Robert Jan Berg,  Soluforce

“During the Beyondgas 2022 conference, Gerald and his team helped us extremely well to start our German network by organising good matches with interesting companies. We were completely unburdened which allowed us to focus on the conversation the talks with potential customers” – Robbert van der Pluijm, Summit Engineering

“The matchmaking was well organised. We had many useful agreements, during which we received a lot of important information with potential for the future in the German market and the crossover between the Dutch and German markets and players.” Wilfred van Bergen, Commercial/BD Manager

On 14 and 15 September politicians, stakeholders, industry leaders and innovative companies gathered today to discuss the ongoing transition within the gas industry and beyond. For this particular trade mission TRANSFER.LC organised the matchmaking, connecting many Dutch and German companies and experts with each other.

A Dutch “borrel” was organised with delicious meat and the Dutch “poffertjes” from a hydrogen grill and pan. All participants agree, we will need green hydrogen for a sustainable future. So let’s create clean energy together!
