The Netherlands to France Healthcare Trade Mission

The trade mission was led by the Dutch Minister for Medical Care, Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, Bruno Bruins.

22 Dutch businesses, active in eHealth and digitalization, medical devices and medical technology, senior care and hospital build and/or hospital efficiency participated in the trade mission. The French healthcare market provides opportunities for innovative Dutch businesses and knowledge institutes, active in the Life Sciences & Health Sector. As a fact, TFHC partner WatchYourMeds successfully signed an agreement for the launch of WatchYourMeds with Health Services Paris in the presence of Minister Bruins.

TRANSFER.LC organized the matchmaking for the trade mission between the Dutch delegates and the French businesses. A total number of 127 meetings has been set up by Transfer, with an average of almost 7 meetings per Dutch participant of the delegation. Various companies indicated that the matchmaking has been a useful and indispensable part of the trade mission. During the meetings organized by Transfer, many companies have established their (first) concrete follow-up steps with as final goal to enter the French market.

The delegation has expressed to be very satisfied with the relevance and usefulness of the meetings, and the topics discussed during their matchmaking. In some cases, concrete follow-up plans were discussed, such as starting a tender procedure for the products of the Dutch company or having a follow-up visit or call in the near future. Various companies approached us to stress their satisfaction about their meetings. The French participants in the meeting indicated that they too had been happy with their meetings, and that they found it very interesting meeting them.

Besides organizing the matchmaking, TRANSFER.LC also made a market study together with the Task Force of Health Care on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands. By providing an overview of the healthcare system, healthcare market, and healthcare infrastructure in France, this study highlights priorities, opportunities, and challenges of the French healthcare market. In addition, the market study provides information on historical and current trends, financial considerations, and practical information for companies interested in the French market.
