Royal Collaboration: His Majesty Joins NRW Green Hydrogen Trade Mission

On November 14, 2023, over 30 renowned Dutch companies in the green hydrogen sector gathered at the Landschaftspark-Nord in Duisburg to participate in matchmaking and establish significant partnerships. The event commenced with a warm welcome by Ambassador Ronald Van Roeden. Subsequently, intensive matchmaking sessions took place between Dutch and German companies to explore innovative collaborations and business opportunities. Organized by TRANSFER.LC, more than 210 meetings facilitated in-depth exchanges between Dutch companies and their German counterparts.

The highlight was an exclusive trade dinner, where the German-Dutch partnership was duly celebrated. The successful outcomes of the day were formally acknowledged in the presence of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, Hans Vijlbrief, State Secretary for Mining, Theo Henrar, President of FME, and Yvette van Eechoud, Deputy Director of Foreign Economic Relations.

This gathering not only provided a platform for business discussions, but also symbolically affirmed the enduring collaboration and shared principles between the two nations. The occasion highlighted the depth of the economic and cultural ties uniting Germany and the Netherlands, underscoring the significance of such alliances in today’s interconnected global landscape.

The long-standing economic partnership between Germany and the Netherlands is gaining increasing significance in today’s times. As emphasized by Hendrik Wüst, Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia: “Today, it is all the more important to conduct business with people who not only share common economic interests but also common values.”
